Frequently Asked Questions

Are you seeking executive owners, or owner-operators? Do I need to be a stylist?

Great question. We see our franchise owners as executive-level leaders focused on marketing, community development, and building relationships in their local market. You’ll recruit top-tier stylists to operate inside your space, while a small onsite team manages day-to-day support. You do not need to be a stylist or have any prior experience in a salon.

Can I own more than one salon?

Yes. Many of our franchise partners plan to expand into multiple locations. We offer Multi-Unit Development Agreements for those interested in owning three or six salons within a designated territory.

How much space do I need for this salon?

The ideal space ranges between 1,800 and 2,400 square feet, which comfortably fits 16 to 20 chairs. We also look for locations with good parking and drive-by visibility. Our team can help you evaluate real estate opportunities that match our brand standards.

How long does it take to open?

Most salons open within 6 to 9 months. That timeline can move faster depending on how quickly you complete your build-out, go through training, and onboard your first group of stylists.

How many employees are needed to operate the salon?

Typically, you’ll need 1 to 2 part-time team members to support operations. If you choose not to be involved day-to-day, an operations manager can oversee up to 6 locations for you.

Do the stylists have access to bex+Co. training?

Yes. Independent stylists can opt into our Beauty Empire Blueprint course, which covers pricing, scheduling, retention, and personal branding. We also offer weekly Glam Chats for ongoing education and community support. Stylists can use their own brand or choose to operate under the bex+Co. name if they prefer a turnkey approach. We currently have a mix of stylists doing both.

What are the startup costs and what do they include?

Startup costs include the franchise fee, build-out of the interior space, professional fees, insurance, equipment, furniture, decor, initial marketing, and three months of working capital. Learn more here.

How much will the business make in a year?

We share financial performance details in our Franchise Disclosure Document, including an Item 19 section that outlines past salon performance. This will help you evaluate revenue potential based on real data.
